Jennifer Shambrook, Ph. D.

Jennifer has a busy full-time job, is raising her second set of children, and enjoys frugal living, food preservation, and maintaining a country pantry in the suburbs of Memphis, Tennessee. Dr. Shambrook is an award-winning author and cook. She has been winning blue ribbons for her home canning projects for over 20 years.

Cooking delicious meals that are super-fast, healthy, low fat and full of flavor is her daily therapy for a stressful job and busy life. She has a Ph.D. in Health Promotion with a focus on stress and how our behavior affects our health. Knowing that her family is feasting on the very best ingredients, with the best taste, and without unpronounceable additives is a measure she employs to lower her stress and increase the good health of her family. Having a well-stocked pantry enables her to skip the fast food places on the way home in order to get a home-cooked dinner on the table in 30 minutes or less.

Dr. Shambrook is the author of “The Cornbread Bible: A Recipe Storybook”, “I Can Can Beef”, ” I Can Can Chicken”, and “I Can Can Relishes, Salsa, Sauces & Chutney”

Jennifer Shambrook will be the featured author at a booksigning at the Leeds Theatre and Arts Center, a project of the Leeds Arts Council, on Saturday, February 1, from 1:30pm-3:30pm.  The booksigning will feature jenn shambrook bookprepared recipes from her book, “I Can Can Relishes, Salsa, Sauces & Chutney” for everyone to sample and enjoy.  Her books will also be available for purchase.
