BRANDI OVERBECK performing STREISAND
The Leeds Arts Council is proud to announce the appearance of “BRANDI OVERBECK performing STREISAND” on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at 7:00 PM. Brandi performed last year at our annual fashion show and we are pleased that she is returning with the music of Barbara Streisand.
Her diverse vocal repertoire spans Broadway, Jazz, Pop and Standards, but she also has been known to sing country and rock from time to time. Brandi studied voice on scholarship at Jefferson State Community College and was a soprano in the performing group “Jeff State Singers”. She also studied with John Ray, currently at Belmont College, and with Drama Desk Nominee for Jekkyl and Hyde, Linda Eder, who is currently performing nationwide. Brandi’s recent performing credits include concerts at Alabama Piano Gallery as well as performing in ACTA’s “Fiddler on the Roof” as Grandma Tzeitel. She has also performed on Nashville’s “Be A Star”, Nashville’s Blue Bird Café, Alabama Nursing Home Association and Springfest. She will be performing a Blues concert at Alabama Piano Gallery on August 22, 2015.
Brandi says, “Although music is not my full time profession, it is my full time obsession. Collaborating with other musicians to bring a song to life for my audiences gives me great joy. To see people connect with the lyric and feel the emotion of the song, that’s when I know I have done my job, creating a beautiful experience”.
