Chamber Needs Nominations for Banquet Awards

Leeds area chamber of commerce monthly chamber luncheon at the first united methodist church business networking special guest speakerThe Leeds Area Chamber of Commerce is preparing for their annual banquet scheduled for late January and needs help with nominations for the Business of the Year, Citizen of the Year, Teacher of the Year, Ambassador of the Year and Non-Profit of the Year.  Please see below for details of qualifications.  No more than a one-page typed application please. Turn in at the chamber office or reply to this email with your nomination or fax to 205-699-1777.

The Leeds Chamber is accepting nominations for:

Citizen of the Year with qualifications as follows:
A Citizen of the Year nominee should be an individual with a true heart-felt love for the community who exemplifies characteristics of service, either by cumulative actions that have impacted the community or by a single act that has significantly touched many.

Business of the Year with Qualifications as follows:
A business of the year nominee should exemplify true commitment to strong business ethics by serving the Leeds Area Community in a professional and caring manner. They must be a member of the Leeds Area Chamber. Look on www.leedsareachamber.com to see if they are listed as a member.

Non-Profit Club/Organization of the Year as follows:
A Non-Profit Club/Organization should be a club or organization that serves the Leeds Area Community in a caring manner through their time, talents and service to the citizens of Leeds. Must be a member of the Leeds Area Chamber.

Ambassador of the Year as follows:
Ambassador of the Year The Ambassador of the Year Award is awarded to a person who participates in the Leeds Area Chamber of Commerce Corporate Ambassador Program that exemplifies volunteerism, attends chamber functions, such as Ribbon Cuttings, Business After Hours, Ground Breakings, etc., volunteers for Chamber activities, is very active among the Ambassadors, and is willing to help with any activities that may come along.

Teacher of the Year:
Teacher of the Year is chosen from applications submitted from the public for going “Over and Beyond” his/her regular classroom duties.
