LACC High School Diplomats Tour Harsco IKG

The Leeds Area Chamber of Commerce High School Diplomats toured Harsco IKG in LEEDS this week and learned more about their company.  Harsco IKG is a very successful aluminum and steel fabricating company who has pioneered grating industry solutions for nearly 100 years and continues to be one of the world´s leading producers of a broad range of high quality steel bar grating and aluminum bar grating. Their primary grating product lines include fabricated grating, mezzanine grating, stock welded steel grating and aluminum grating panels, and Mebac® Safety Products.   Their Leeds facility was formerly Borden Metals and is located on Dunnavant Road.

The Plant Manager gave  a PowerPoint presentation as an overview of their company.  We viewed a YouTube video of their grating products being installed which was very interesting.  We then split into two groups and actually toured the entire facility.  After the tour, Harsco IKG provided lunch for everyone.

Along with the Diplomats, Sandra McGuire – Executive Director and several Corporate Ambassadors enjoyed the tour including Christy Ellard – Chick-fil-A, Amanda Pritchard – Leeds School System, Kayla Pellowski – Scott Pellowski State Farm and Dona Bonnett – adr Business & Marketing Strategies.

Next month, they will tour The Red Barn.
