Leeds Area Chamber of Commerce Presents Teacher of the Year Award

Leeds, Al- The Leeds Area Chamber of Commerce presented the 2013 Teacher of the Year Award to Amanda Beeson From Leeds High School on Friday, January 24, 2014 at the Annual Chamber Banquet.
The Leeds Area Chamber is a strong supporter of education and each year the Chamber recognizes a teacher from the Leeds City Schools who exceeds expectations in serving our schools and students. Goodwyn, Mills, and Cawood sponsored this Teacher Recognition Program.
Nominated by one of her students, Mrs. Beason is said to educate students in the most interesting and relatable ways and prepares them to further their education. Her selfless nature and passion for teaching always motivates her students to do their best and helps them to strive to achieve their goals. Her love of teaching and caring nature for her students is evident. There is no doubt that Mrs. Beason’s enthusiasm has been passed to many of her students and the effects will be life-long for those she has taught.
Along with the award, Mrs. Beason was presented with a check for $500.
