Business Workshops in Leeds Begin Next Tuesday!
The Leeds Area Chamber of Commerce will begin a series of business workshops in Leeds “FAST TRACK YOUR BUSINESS SUCCESS, Effective Strategies for Growth” next Tuesday, January 13, 2015. Monday, January 5th is the last day to register at the $25 registration. After Monday, registration for all six workshops will be $30 and single workshop registrations at $10 each.
These workshops will be held at the Leeds Area Chamber of Commerce office at 7901 Parkway Drive, Leeds, Alabama 35094

FAST TRACK YOUR BUSINESS SUCCESS WORKSHOPS BEGINS TUESDAY!
Leeds, Al- The Leeds Area Chamber of Commerce will begin a series of business workshops “FAST TRACK YOUR BUSINESS SUCCESS, Effective Strategies for Growth” next Tuesday, January 13, 2015.
This series will be kicked off with two important segments facilitated by Chesley Payne, attorney with Massey, Stotser & Nichols, P.C. which include: 1) Organization Types & Considerations for Small Business and 2) Selling a Small Business & Succession Planning.
If someone owns a business or is thinking of starting a business, this is definitely a great workshop for them. Many business owners never think about what they would do when they decide that they no longer want to work that business. Whether they plan to sell, die or retire from their business, it is wise to start a business with the end in mind.
This is a pilot workshop program hosted by the Chamber in partnership with BancorpSouth along with other business professionals and contains five additional workshops to be held in January, February and March with different topics relevant to our local business community.
Attending these workshops will help you kick off the New Year whether you have started a new business or just thinking about starting a business; whether you already have a successful business and would like to grow to another level or just refresh and catch up on latest business trends.
Each workshop will provide light refreshments, an opportunity to work on your own sales manager moment (elevator speech), network with other business professionals and build relationships as well as receive vital information for your business.
Any company or individual may attend all six complete workshops with a Registration of $30. Prior registration is requested so handouts may be prepared for you.
This is a steal of a deal for all six workshops PLUS anyone who completes all six workshops will receive a full refund of their registration in the form of a gas gift card, so basically, the workshops become FREE.
For anyone who desires to register for a single workshop, the single workshop registration fee is $10 per workshop.

Organization Types and Considerations for Small Business – pros and cons of business structures
This module provides an overview of business organizational types and is designed to help participants to understand how selecting the correct organizational type can benefit their business.
After completing this module, the participants will become familiar with the common types of business formations, including:
- Sole Proprietorship
- Partnership
- Limited Liability Company (LLC)
- C-corporation
- S-corporation

Session 1b:
Selling a Small Business and Succession Planning
This module provides an overview of selling a small business and succession planning and is designed to help participants to understand how selling a business can benefit their business.
After completing this module, the participants will be able to:
- Incorporate life-cycle issues into their management planning.
- Decide the best option for them to exit their business.
- Prepare for retirement.
