“Leeds/Moody Caravan Gives Back to our Community”
February 3, 2016
Dear Patron,
Every year the Leeds/Moody Caravan supports two charities that are dear to our hearts. Our next planned event on February 24th is a Chili Cook Off. The event will take place at Moody City Hall (670 Park Ave, Moody, AL 35004) from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. This event is always a great success, bringing members of our industry and local community together to assist families in need. We sell tickets for the luncheon and have a silent auction where everyone can bid on their favorite items! All proceeds from the tickets and auction go to these two charities.
The Leeds/Moody Caravan is comprised of REALTORS® and affiliates representing mortgage companies, title companies, attorneys, and other professionals associated with the real estate industry. We are actively involved in our community.
The two philanthropies we support each year are The Children’s Place (St. Clair County Children’s Advocacy Center) and Leeds Outreach.
The Children’s Place is a nonprofit organization that helps children and families in St. Clair County who have been victims of child abuse. The agency has been serving it’s communities for over 20 years. They provide a safe environment for victims of abuse while assisting the non-offending family members with counseling and legal matters. They are also active in educating the communities in order to raise awareness and prevent child abuse.
Leeds Outreach began in 1994 when 4 local pastors wanted to provide assistance to families in need. The Christian organization, comprised solely of volunteers, provides assistance for utility bills, food, and other essential needs for families in the Leeds and St. Clair County communities. Other projects include assisting families with school supplies and Christmas gifts, just to name a few.
.
These charities are worthy of our support and are much needed in our community. We hope you feel as strongly as we do and will choose to join us in this effort. We are asking for a financial donation or an item to be given as a prize or auctioned at this event. Your support is greatly appreciated, and we thank you in advance for your participation.
Sincerely,
Leeds/Moody Caravan Members
