Mayor David Miller Designates August 19, 2021 as Emma Terry Day
Leeds, Al- Leeds Mayor David Miller designated Thursday, August 19, 2021 as Emma Terry Day at the Leeds Area Chamber of Commerce Luncheon. This proclamation was presented on behalf of Emma being named Miss Alabama’s Outstanding Teen. Along with the Mayor’s proclamation, Congressman Gary Palmer presented Emma with a Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition.
More than 75 people were in attendance at the luncheon held at Leeds First Baptist Church to get a Washington, DC update by guest speaker, Congressman Palmer. Lunch was catered by Saw’s BBQ.
Upcoming chamber of commerce events include Food Truck Mondays held each Monday at the Gazebo on the corner of Parkway Drive and 9th Street as well as the next Chamber After Hours scheduled for Thursday, August 26 from 5:30 pm until 7:30 pm at The Backyard Leeds.
