Mayor Moore — a lifelong Leeds resident whose family has been here since the late 1800s — shared his personal story, his love for the community, and his vision for the future. He and his wife recently celebrated 53 years of marriage, and their entire family proudly calls Leeds home.

He spoke about:

  • Strengthening infrastructure, drainage, and traffic flow
  • Ongoing beautification efforts across the city
  • Growing our business community
  • A new project that could bring 50 new jobs and significant new city revenue
  • His goal to highlight Leeds’ rich history and build events that draw visitors into our downtown

Mayor Moore also introduced his new Executive Assistant, Ronnie Dixon, who brings decades of leadership experience in education, construction, permitting, municipal services, and community programming.

The group also heard from DECA students from Leeds High School who shared about their outstanding program.

The Chamber thanks Earthborn Studios, Inc. for sponsoring the luncheon, the ladies of Leeds First Methodist Church for serving our meal, and the church for hosting. Many thanks to chamber diplomats Steicy Jimenez, Ella Gallahar, and Jalicia Ellis for their assistance as well. The Leeds Area Chamber of Commerce appreciates the continued support of its members and community partners in making these monthly gatherings a valuable experience for all who attend.
