We have outgrown our meeting room at the Chamber office so this workshop will be held at the Leeds Historic Depot located at 8335 Thornton Avenue NE, Leeds, Alabama 35094.

The fourth workshop for FAST TRACK YOUR BUSINESS SUCCESS – Effective Strategies for Growth will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 from 8:15 AM to 11:00 AM at The Depot in Leeds, Alabama.
This workshop will be facilitated by Scott Pellowski State Farm which will cover these two topics: 1) Insurance – Choices for Businesses and 2) Risk Management – Planning for What You Can and Can’t Control. These subjects are very important to any person who owns a business or thinking of starting a business.
Many business owners find themselves under or over insured or don’t think about contacting their insurance agent about a new business evaluation whenever new equipment is purchased or their business plan changes. Also, there are many unforeseen risks that play into the overall business success. From business liability insurance, general liability insurance, umbrella policies, work specific insurance, workmen’s compensation insurance, unemployment insurance, disability insurance, health insurance and the list goes on, it can get very overwhelming for any business owner. During these two sessions, Scott will explain all of the aspects relating to business insurance, why business insurance is important, what risk management is and how to make effective plans to make sure you are fully covered in case of a loss.
This workshop series is hosted by the Leeds Area Chamber of Commerce and made possible through a partnership with BancorpSouth Bank and other area business professionals. Light refreshments and open business networking time will be available so please plan to join us at 8:15 AM.
Registration Fee is $10 for this class (it is also included in the complete registration for all 6 classes at no additional charge.)

Session 4a:
Insurance – Choices for Businesses
This module provides an overview of insurance and is designed to help participants to understand how insurance can benefit their business.
After completing this module, the participants will be able to:
• Understand their business’ insurance needs.
• Choose the insurance products that are best for their business.
Session 4b:
Risk Management – planning for what you can and cannot control
This module provides an overview of risk management and is designed to help participants to understand how risk management can benefit their business.
After completing this module, the participants will be able to:
• Understand the external and internal factors which affect risk for a small business.
• Recognize the common warning signs of risk for a small business.
• Implement, monitor, and evaluate a risk management plan for their business.
These workshops will be facilitated by Scott Pellowski with Scott Pellowski State Farm
This is series of 6 workshops will be held the second and fourth Tuesday of each month beginning January 13, 2015 and ending on March 24, 2015.
