Leeds Area Chamber of Commerce February Chamber Luncheon 2023 | Leeds First Methodist Church

Leeds Area Chamber of Commerce will host their monthly chamber luncheon at 11:45 a.m. on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at Leeds First Methodist Church located at 1189 6th Street, Leeds.  With February being recognized as Career Technical Education month by the Alabama State Department of Education, guest speakers will be Shannon Logan from Leeds City Schools and Lawson “Russ” Cofield from Academy of Craft Training – Birmingham.  Also, Leeds Elementary School Jump Rope Team will perform.

This is a great opportunity to meet and develop relationships with other Leeds area business professionals, hear a great speaker and enjoy a great lunch.  Also, businesses are encourage to bring door prizes to advertise your business.

About Our Speakers:

Shannon Logan

Shannon Logan is the Health Sciences teacher in the department of Career Technical Education at Leeds High School. Prior to joining Leeds High School as the Health Sciences teacher seven years ago, she served as the Lead Nurse in the Rheumatology Department at UAB Hospital – Highlands for eight years. She is a graduate of the UAB and the UAB School of Nursing.

Lawson “Russ Cofield”

Lawson “Russ” Cofield is the Director of the Academy of Craft Training – Birmingham which serves area high school students who are specializing in learning the building trades such as building construction, electrical, HVAC, interior and exterior finishes, and welding and piping. Throughout his over two decades in education, he has also served as a teacher, assistant principal, and college and career center director. He is a graduate of Auburn University, the University of Montevallo, as well as UAB in secondary education as well as educational leadership.
