Guest Speaker: Candice Hill & Brian Worley

Join Leeds Area Chamber of Commerce for our June Chamber Luncheon with guest speaker: Candice Hill with St Clair County EDC and Brian Worley

About the Speaker:

Our guest speakers will be Candice Hill, she has been working with the St. Clair County EDC since 2007, and as a part of their strategic plan helped to transition Leadership Pell City into a County-wide organization. For the last 15 years, she has helped to coordinate the Leadership St. Clair County program. She is a graduate of UAB with a background in Marketing and Public Administration.  Her favorite part of her job is Community Development and leadership training.

Assisting Candice will be Brian Worley, he is a St. Clair County native who you may have seen on local billboards advertising his Good Neighbor status. Like a “Good Neighbor” he has been a willing and able member and chairman of the Leadership St. Clair County board. His passion and enthusiasm for the program has helped to keep the program going strong.

About Leadership St. Clair County:

Leadership St. Clair County (LSCC) is a program designed to develop a leadership network across the county and educate those leaders on the issues our county is currently facing. It is our belief that knowledge is the prime motivator for leadership. In this program, citizens of St. Clair County will catch a glimpse of all aspects of the county including its strengths, issues, opportunities and influence statewide.

LSCC was organized by a Steering Committee of community leaders and elected officials. For the initial year, the program is funded by the St. Clair County Commission, St. Clair County Economic Development Council & tuition fees from participants; as well as supported by Jefferson State Community College. The tuition fee for St. Clair County mayors has been waived to promote their attendance as key members of LSCC. All nominees were chosen based on their influence and work in their communities. These nominees include elected officials, business leaders, members of community organizations & educators.
