Leeds Area Chamber of Commerce will host their monthly chamber luncheon at 11:45 a.m. on Thursday, June 15 at Leeds First Methodist Church located at 1189 6th Street, Leeds with Guest Speaker: Brian Barsanti, Executive Director - Southern Museum of Flight.
This is a great opportunity to meet and develop relationships with other Leeds area business professionals, hear a great speaker and enjoy a great lunch. Also, businesses are encouraged to bring door prizes to advertise your business.

About Our Speaker:
Brian Barsanti
Dr. Brian J. Barsanti was born in Detroit, Michigan, but he spent much of his early life growing up in San Antonio, Texas. Brian has been a part of the Southern Museum of Flight team in Birmingham, Alabama for fifteen years, and he also serves as a part-time faculty member at Huntingdon College, the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and Miles College.
Brian is a graduate of a number of military training schools including the United States Army Airborne School, and he currently serves as an officer in the United States Coast Guard. Brian currently serves as a Reservist, and he has been recalled to Active Duty numerous times, including a stateside deployment in 2010 when he conducted response efforts due to the Deepwater Horizon oil disaster on the Gulf Coast. In 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020, he coordinated recovery efforts following the devastation associated with Hurricanes Harvey, Maria, Florence, Barry, and Sally. Most recently, Brian mobilized in support of the Hurricane Ida response in Lower Louisiana. Brian has also assisted with several relief efforts related to flooding on the Gulf and East Coasts, as well as in the Mid-West.
Brian completed his undergraduate degree at Texas A&M University at Corpus Christi, TX, and his education includes a graduate degree in History from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He also holds the Ph.D. from the University of Alabama and the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Brian has served the Southern Museum of Flight in a number of capacities, including the positions of Director of Education, Museum Administrator, and Deputy Director. He currently serves as Executive Director of the Southern Museum of Flight.
Brian resides in Oak Grove, Alabama with his wife and two daughters.
