Leeds Area Chamber of Commerce Presents Teacher of the Year Award 2019

Leeds Area Chamber of Commerce Presents Teacher of the Year Award 2019 | The chamber presented the Teacher of the Year Award to Leeds Primary School Counselor, Darlene Bean, at the May chamber luncheon. The nomination submitted for Darlene read, “Darlene Bean is more than just our counselor! She goes above and beyond to help out in any way she can to make Leeds Primary School a better place. Not only does she meet with our students, but she pours her heart into each of them. She knows all the students by name and can make a personal connection with each of them. She is the head of our Shared Leadership Action Team and a member of our Lighthouse Team. She orchestrated the task of selecting our Student Lighthouse Team this year and led them in coordinating our monthly Leadership Assembly. Darlene is an integral part of our faculty and we are so appreciative of all the work she does!”  The award was presented by Brad Pool with Cahawba Financial Services and Immediate Past President of the chamber who sponsored this award along with a $500 gift.  Congratulations, Ms. Bean, we truly appreciate the effort you put into the students of LPS.
