Leeds Arts Council Fundraiser

The Leeds Arts Council is hosting a fund raiser on February 27 from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM to off set the cost of sending our award winning play “ECHOES” and the cast to the Southeastern Theatre Conference in Chattanooga, Tennessee, March 4-8.  At that time we will be competing with 10 other plays.

Tickets are $25.00 which includes the play and hors d’oeuvres.

We entered the play “ECHOES” in the Alabama Conference of Theatre 2015 ACTFest in Guntersville in October of 2014. Two plays were chosen to represent Alabama – South City Theatre’s “Night Mother” and the Leeds Arts Councils ” Echoes”. “Echoes” is the story of a man and a woman who have built a paradise of happiness within an asylum, only to have it shattered by the intrusion of the outside world. Cast members are Ashley Richardson as “Tilda”; Cliff Keen, Jr. as “Sam”; Thomas Shaw as “The Person”. Directed and set, sound and light design by Cliff Keen, Jr. Lighting and sound by Rick & Alec Beiswenger.

This is the first time we have gained this type of recognition in our theatre program. Our many thanks to our Director, Cliff Keen, Jr. and the cast. Let’s show them our support by attending this event. If you cannot attend, donations are greatly appreciated. Checks should be made out to: Leeds Arts Council, and mailed to P.O.
