Leeds Arts Council Update

Hello Everyone …from the Leeds Arts Council!

I hope you have made it though our little “adventure” this week. Just in time to get ready for about 4 days of rain and then another cold front! Yay! (that was sarcasm) Well, please don’t let a little rain keep you away from the Leeds Theatre and Arts Center because we have some great things both this weekend and next.

Saturday, Feb. 1 from 1:30-3:30pm come by and meet author, Jennifer Shambrook. We will be featuring her new book “I Can Can Relishes, Salsa, Sauces, and Chutney”. She will have a sampling of foods from her cookbook! (for those of you who don’t know…..This is the CORNBREAD LADY!, author of The Cornbread Bible)

Sunday, Feb. 2 from 1:30-3:30pm we will be here again, but this time for the Speak-Easy Art Exhibit. Come by and see artworks from some of our local talent and learn how you too can become an artist!

Next Weekend…….

Emily Herring will be performing as Patsy Cline at the Leeds Theatre and Arts Center. Saturday, February 8th at 7pm. Tickets are only $10.00 (Hey, now that’s a cheap date!) so bring your spouse, friends, children or whomever and and don’t miss this great night of entertainment. She is an amazing performer.

Also on February 8th from 1:30-3:30pm you will have the opportunity to meet local author, Georgie McBride.. She is the author of “Pieces of my Heart”. Her book will be available for purchase and she will be on hand to sign it and share with you her inspirations for her book.
