Leeds Cruising for Toys Brings Community Together for a Cause
The streets of historic downtown Leeds came alive on Saturday, November 8, for the annual Leeds Cruising for Toys – A Cruise-In for a Cause. Classic car enthusiasts and community members gathered for a fun-filled afternoon of cars, prizes, and holiday giving—all to support local families in need.
Each toy donation earned participants a ticket for the event’s random drawing, which awarded a $500 cash prize to lucky winner Mark Turner, who graciously donated a portion of his winnings back to the cause. In addition to toys, attendees were encouraged to bring non-perishable food items for Leeds Outreach, helping to stock the shelves for families throughout the holiday season.
The Brotherhood won the Club Award with 13 of their club members participating. Also, $1410 was raised in addition to the toys and canned goods.
“A big part of what makes Leeds special is the way our community comes together to help others,” said Amy Lee, Executive Director of the Leeds Area Chamber of Commerce. “Cruising for Toys is such a fun way to kick off the season of giving—people get to show off their cars, enjoy a beautiful day downtown, and make a real difference for children and teens in our community.”
The event was sponsored by The Leeds Area Chamber of Commerce, C & C Motor Company, the City of Leeds, and Exit Legacy Realty, with all proceeds benefiting children and teens through Leeds Outreach. A special thank you to all the sponsors and also the awesome DJ, Ronnie Foster.
