See a sneak preview of the newly redecorated military and sports rooms in the Jonathan Bass House Museum at the Aug. 9, 2015 meeting of the Leeds Historical Society. The meeting will begin at 2:00 PM. The public is invited, admission is free, and refreshments will be served.
The military room has a new display that includes photos of more than 50 military veterans from Leeds. An open house is being planned for later this year, when additional work in the museum is completed.
The Jonathan Bass House was built around 1863 and is owned by the Leeds Historical Society. The museum, which is located inside the house, showcases a display of local history. The Leeds Historical Society is a non-profit organization that meets every other month.
