RSVP Now for May Chamber Luncheon

RSVP now for our May Chamber Luncheon.  We have an exciting agenda planned for Thursday, May 20th at 11:45 a.m. and we will meet back at Leeds First United Methodist Church Family Life Center.  Our speaker will be John Moore, Leeds City Schools superintendent.  Teacher of the Year Award will be presented and our high school Diplomats will be recognized.  Lunch is $12 payable at the door. Please make your reservations by Tuesday, May 18th.

About Our Speaker:

About Our Speaker: Meet John Moore. John has served as the Leeds Superintendent of Education since 2009. John earned a B.S. and Masters degree from Auburn University, an Educational Specialist degree from UAB, and a Juris Doctorate from the Birmingham School of Law. John is a licensed attorney. During his tenure as Superintendent, the Leeds City Schools have seen a 50% growth in enrollment, a 35% increase in the graduation rate, and the addition of pre-kindergarten and Advanced Placement courses. John and his wife, Karen, have three children, all who attend school in Leeds. John currently serves on the Leeds Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.
