Southern Company COVID-19 Message
Good afternoon! I wanted to share with you a couple of grant opportunities our team has come across that may be of some help to the Leeds Chamber membership. I’ve also included the AL Small Business Development Center’s COVID-19 Webinar information below. The first of 3 webinars took place today, but there are two more scheduled this week. You may have already seen all of this, but I wanted to share just in case.

Economic Impact Report – 2019
Serving Alabama’s Small Businesses Since 1980
At the core of any successful business are driven leaders. But passion isn’t enough to overcome all obstacles. Large companies have ready access to expertise and capital. Smaller companies lack these critical resources. Drive and inventiveness alone can’t overcome this crucial lack of resources.
The Alabama SBDC levels the playing field. We unlock the potential of any business by providing business expertise normally reserved for large, established companies.
With 10 centers and 40 outreach locations, the Alabama SBDC has a location near you.
PTAC Alabama – Procurement Technical Assistance Center
The Alabama Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) has offices that are co-located with the Alabama SBDC. Procurement Specialists help companies compete for government contracts. The AL-PTAC offers the state’s only no-cost bid-matching service.
Alabama International Trade Center – The University of Alabama
The William R. Bennett Alabama International Trade Center, located at the University of Alabama, provides export research, training, and financing services to Alabama’s small business community. The Trade Center has been providing these valuable services to the public for 41+ years. Its dedicated staff includes professionals that specialize in international sales & marketing, logistics, export controls & licensing, business strategy, and export finance.
Member of the Export Alabama Alliance.
The Alabama SBDC is funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the US Small Business Administration. Hosted by the University of Alabama – Office for Research & Economic Development.
Accredited by the Association of SBDC’s.
Thanks!
