Leeds Downtown Summer Movie Nights
Mark Your Calendars for Leeds Downtown Summer Movie Nights | Leeds Area Chamber of Commerce, Leeds Redevelopment Authority along with Leeds Jane Culbreth Library will launch First Friday Outdoor Family Movie Nights again this year for the summer with three dates scheduled. The movie lineup will be June 2 – Toy Story 4, July 7 – Beauty & the Beast and August 4 – Minions The Rise of GRU. Families are encouraged to bring lawn chairs to the concrete parking lot on the corner of Parkway Drive and 6th Street to enjoy these free outdoor community events.
Food trucks, including shaved ice, will be on-site along with pre-movie yard games beginning at 6:00 p.m. The outdoor movie will begin around dusk which will be approximately 8:00 p.m.
Food Truck Monday is another popular weekly downtown event throughout the summer that is already in full swing. A different food truck is scheduled each Monday for lunch on the corner of Parkway Drive and 9th Street from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
In addition to these efforts to schedule community events downtown, the Chamber and the City invites you to experience all that Leeds, Alabama has to offer. From our beautiful historic downtown with its quaint shops and eateries to exit 140 at I-20 for the Outlet Shops of Grand River, The Backyard Leeds, Bass Pro Shop and Buc-ee’s to exit 144 with additional shopping and dining opportunities, there’s plenty to do and see in Leeds.
