Teacher of the Year 2023 Awarded
Leeds Area Chamber of Commerce Presents Teacher of the Year 2023 - Meg Brantley was chosen as the Leeds Area Chamber of Commerce Teacher of the Year at the May Chamber Luncheon. Leeds City School Superintendent and Chamber Board Member presented the award. Here are excerpts from letters submitted for Mrs. Brantley's nomination:
"Mrs. Brantley is an excellent teacher to her students and exemplifies excellent in treating all with equality and meets their needs where they are academically. She is a kind-hearted and knowledgeable co-worker and always willing to share her teaching experience with others. She never backs away from anything and accepts changes and challenges with confidence."
"Mrs. Brantley is a wonderful example of a wonderful teacher. She comes to school every day with a wonderful "can-do" attitude. Her students feel loved, important and capable. She lights up any room and is always there for her students and teachers."
"As a former student teacher, along with many others that Meg has mentored, she encouraged me and helped shape who I am today as a teacher. Meg always has a smile on her face and is passionate about what she does every day. Her students love coming to school each and every day. She is a team player and willing to help anyone with questions."
Mrs. Brantley has been a teacher in the Leeds City School system for 30 years. Congratulations, Mrs. Brantley, on your award and recognition!
